Happy Easter Everyone!

“Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he is Risen” Matthew 28:5-6

Day 19 of Quarantine...

I woke this morning very early to the glorious sunshine and the sound of birds singing, I simply couldn’t wait to get outside in my bikini and get some sun on me. I had my breakfast consisting of tea and toast in the garden so I could make the most of the sun while it’s shining, as it is meant to be cold and windy here again next week, how I long for summer.

Due to the gorgeous weather I decided to do my daily workout in the garden, Sarah decided to join me so we did a nice little workout in the morning sunshine.

At 10:30 the whole family gathered around the TV in the living room to watch the Easter Mass live as this year we are unable to go to church due to the lockdown. (Even the cat came and sat with us.)

After mass was finished, the boys and Sarah went running upstairs to choose their Easter eggs from the big pile hidden away in mums wardrobe. I already had my Easter egg from Aaron in my room, and I don’t really like chocolate very much so I didn’t choose another one.

A few weeks ago when me and Sarah went into town, we got both of the cats Easter eggs as a little treat for them, they were made from yoghurt and catnip, both of them loved it!

After all of the excitement of Easter eggs I retreated back to the garden for some sunbathing! However as soon as I sat myself down, the sun went in behind the clouds, it was still very warm so I listened to my music and relaxed for a little bit, was just nice to be outside.

In the afternoon I did some reading, I’m currently reading Three Sisters Three Queens by Philippa Gregory. Im very close to finishing it, I’ve found it to be a really good book, I’m a massive fan of Philippa Gregory! I’ll make sure that I do a book review when I’m finished! I’ve been reading a lot since we’ve been in quarantine now i have lots of spare time of my hands.

As it is Easter and a day of celebration, we had roast lamb for dinner. I’m not a huge fan of lamb so I only had the roasted vegetables and cabbage! Was lovely the roast potatoes were soo crispy and fluffy. We also have a lovely cheese board for later.

During these past few weeks of lockdown, I find that all day I haven’t really done anything but lay around and then its time for bed again, and then I can’t sleep. So this last week I’ve found it really helpful to have a bedtime routine. Before bed I really like to relax, so I make my room all nice and cosy, light some candles get all comfy under my many many blankets with all my cushions around me and watch some telly.
